i'm in a movie!

i was invited to participate in a movie by a coworker of my friend devon's boyfriend, and from what i can tell, it's a fairly cheesy western/murder mystery - the title is "scarred" and it's the first in a trilogy called "sherriff of contention" (i said it was cheesy). the sherriff and the deputy are both after the same woman, the minister's wife stirs up trouble, and the mayor is both obsessive and distracted at the same time. i'm just an extra, but there were so few "townsfolk" that i appear in many scenes - and i've been invited back to be in more. none of the actors or crew were anybody i've heard of, but most of them were quite friendly. we spent all day out in the sun yesterday, shooting town scenes. the ramona historical society has a cool "old west" downtown/museum set that they kindly allowed us to use for the set. there were also several horses in the film - which made me quite happy, since i got to hang out with them. they were also amusing in that we (twice) had to stop in the middle of a scene for one of them to finish relieving itself, clean up the mess, then restart the scene. there were several times between shoots that devon and i broke into song - "hang the bastard" in particular, although i believe we tossed in a few "the sky is blue"s. ahh, the joys of film...
