a better week

i made fudge. several different varieties of sweet, delectable, fantastic fudge, of which i am very proud. i combined several fudge recipies to combine all my favorite fudge qualities (for example, i like how the sweetened condensed milk fudge tastes, but i don't like that it has to stay refrigerated to retain its shape). i am planning a fair entry for next summer, not so much in hopes of winning, but that anyone entered in a contest gets free fair tickets. and the fair was pretty cool the last time i went, although quite expensive. maybe if i get in for free, i can afford to take the bungee plunge. but i digress.
the point of the fudge-making is that i feel like cooking/baking, etc. when cold weather hits, and san diego weather has recently made me add either a sweater or a hoody to my daily attire. and fudge is the fastest, easiest candy to make. i've also been making casseroles (cream of french onion soup, bread stuffing and veggies are actually quite good together) and desserts (blackberry cobbler, gooey brownies, shoot, i even made a cake - and i don't like cake) all in spare time, after work and such.
so i just had two days off work. i was going to bake, make candy, get the laundry done, and clean the kitchen. did i? hah! i played with some critters, watched the ENTIRE EXTENDED lotr trilogy, spoke on the phone, and slept a LOT! shoot, i took a bubble bath and read my "bad cat" book again (available at world market, for just $9.95!). and not a dish did i wash. i put in one load of laundry - that being the clothes i wore to my volunteering with critters, which invariably ends with me being filthy. so i consider my two days off to be thoroughly unproductive, and i would like two more...
yeah right.
i can't wait to go back and fix all the messes that people made in my store while i was gone.
