krayzykat musings

random. often cat-focused. sometimes a little nutty sort of online diary with ventings, thoughts on life, food-related tangents, etc. probably not interesting to people who don't know me...

so i think this will be a somewhat sporadic blog. my goal is at least a once a week thing, but hey, we'll see how it goes.
today i was spammed again by an annoying website (it rhymes with "assmates.com"). they tell me that a Friend has posted me a message! and for this limited time only, i can JOIN for FREE for a whole week, at which point they will charge my credit card a bajillion dollars. but the Benefits of Joining include that i can VIEW THIS POST by my FRIEND! who i am assuming is some affiliate of assmates.com welcoming me and thanking me for my credit card #. too bad for them i didn't give it, but it makes me sad that enough people must fall for that crap to make it worth their time...
on a more fun note: we caught a matinee of batman begins yesterday. i was quite impressed. the whole thing was dark and sinister, and just how i pictured batman and gotham and the whole bit. it was kind of tough to swallow that liam neeson was supposed to be sort of a bad guy, but i liked the fact that he wasn't the only bad guy. and i'm stopping there so i don't spoil anything else.
i did not appreciate, however, the preview for charlie and the chocolate factory that showed before batman. i never, before yesterday, even considered that johnny depp could resemble michael jackson, but he can be made to look frighteningly similar. and the film advertised is about a man in a crazy invented world, who invites small boys to come share it with him. now don't get me wrong, i love the book, and i have immense respect for roald dahl (i think the man was a brilliant storyteller!). but i think that tim burton/johnny depp watched the willy wonka movie for characterization instead of reading the book. and gene wilder is just creepy, even without the michael jackson look.
and all kinds of drama have been let loose in the vicinity of the thornton residence. michael wants us to move to colorado (he's planning a transfer there about october-ish and has already scoped out possible places of employment for us!) and when we told john that, he countered with reasons we should move to washington (relatives, a lack of my allergies, etc.) and then we got a phone call from quasi-relatives in chile, who want us to move there. and then my aunt and uncle came to visit (and took me to sea world, which i could not have afforded by myself, so thanks!) and they want us to move to utah... so it is nice that we are all popular, but what if we like it here? i'm starting to feel the tonka truck thing...
the tonka truck thing started when i was dating shaggy, and he and april didn't get along. they would try to get me to hang out with just them and not the other person, and i had only so much time on my hands, so i pitched a hissy fit and said that i WILL NOT be some yellow tonka truck that little kids fight over who gets to play with it. we are all adults, and when i go somewhere, whovever wants to go is invited, as long as they are civil and don't ruin it for me. sounds simple enough, right? you'd be surprised how often the same sort of thing crops up. like if all these people would just buy us plane tickets to visit them, there wouldn't be a problem...
and jane is moving! i can't believe the alias parties are over! we might have to actually start paying for tv reception unless someone else volunteers to record next season for us... and the fie dolla sto (five dollar store) will miss her frequent contributions, i am sure. based on recent events, i'm almost expecting a suggestion that we pick up and move to russia.
so anyway, a couple of years ago, shaggy went to a training academy for the defense department (yes, i know it sounds cool) and met up with deanna, who is basically a girl version of him. so they decided they're cousins and drop emails once in a while... but she's dating a guy she met on the internet, and where does he live? escondido. less than 3 miles from our house. and she's visiting him this weekend, so we'll get to go hang out with cousin deanna, who i haven't met yet.
and hobbes needs attention (he's trying to walk on the keyboard) which is an indication of enough blog. later!
