adventures

today was a day of happenings - at least, the part between 2 and 4 am. i went in to work at 2 with the idea of replacing a broken piece of shelving frame (it had been propped up by bottles of hot sauce since yesterday).
i started by hitting myself in the face with an electric screwdriver, bruising my nose, and blacking both my eyes. then i fixed the shelving frame, started to load the shelves, and bam! a shelf on the "good" side of the frame collapsed. hot sauce and broken glass were relocated to the floor, the sideboards, and my pants and shoes. so i cleaned it up, fixed the shelf, and put away the cleaning compound/broom/wet rags. of course, after i came back, another shelf lost its hot sauce, and i was able to do a repeat performance of the cleanup process.
from that point on, i guess fate figured it couldn't faze me any more, and work went pretty smoothly for the rest of the day. i got home around noonish for cannibal: the musical and a nap.
